#Luimelia is a spin-off web series from the Spanish telenovela, Amar Es Para Siempre. It focuses on the show’s beloved queer couple, Luisita Gomes and Amelia Ledesma. However, there is a twist! Amar Es Para Siempre takes place during the 1960s and 1970s, with the Luimelia story focused in the 70s. This web series takes the two characters and transports them into today. The series takes place in 2020 and tells the story of what the Luimelia relationship would look like in today’s world. Telenovela fans may recognize actors or characters from Amar Es Para Siempre and other popular soap operas taking #Luimelia to a new level of meta.
